A pastor’s dream come true: Believer’s growing up in Christ.
How does your pastor know you are growing up? You begin to take the responsibility to encourage others regularly. When we see this we know that two things have happened.
- You have made the adjustment from thinking of yourself most of the time to unselfishly thinking of others.
- You have progressed in your self-esteem enough to realize you have something to offer to others.
One of the main focuses of the ministry at Love In Action Church is teaching the body of Christ about our righteousness by faith. This was and is the main aim of the plan of redemption. It is a product of the love and wisdom of God and serves to build up the believer in their faith, confidence and even commitment to holy living; and that is the job of every pastor.
Ephesians 4
16: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.
You are growing in Christ because you are receiving a revelation of His love. As you grow you automatically take on the responsibility of sharing what has been supplied to you. Then the whole body of Christ causes itself to increase.
The title may have led you to believe that this exhortation is about money. Well, it will affect your money and every other area of your life. You have heard it before: “Give and it shall be given unto you.” But that truth is not limited to money. In fact, until you learn to sow the Word of God into other peoples lives, you will never be able to maximize the benefits of sowing financial seed.
Jesus said, “Freely you have received; freely give.” You have been receiving the revelation of His love. Now it is time to share it. Share your SUPPLY so that INCREASE may come.
PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, please forgive me for all my selfish thinking and ways of the past. I receive your love and forgiveness right now. The Bible says that you have shed your love abroad in my heart. Help me to incorporate your ways into my thinking. I commit to learn of your love through the Holy Spirit and the ministry gifts that you have given me. Then I will turn around and give them away again. I thank you for accelerated growth in my life; In Jesus name, Amen.
